Do you have a favourite app or website, in terms of the design and user experience?
InVision – it’s simple, intuitive and easy to use. But more importantly, the app enabled the design team to fundamentally change ways of working and help drive engagement with the wider business.
Which industries, in your opinion, tend to deliver the worst user experiences, and why?
Local government and council websites… and most train ticket booking companies.
What has been the greatest game-changer in the UX and usability sectors over the past 10 years?
Data, personalisation, and a far deeper and more meaningful understanding of the customer.
What do you think are the biggest challenges companies face utilising UX?
Landing the value of UCD at board level and ensuring all design and UX changes are measurable and help achieve business KPI’s.
Do you have any UX-pet peeves?
Websites that aren’t responsive or have a mobile optimised view. And all websites and apps that don’t use best practice, industry-standard design and UX patterns.
If you could have any super power what would it be, and why?
Being invisible, as it’s the only way to get a true, unbiased and totally independent view of the end-to-end customer experience!
